Capstone Lawrence assembled an operations, accounting and leadership team for our company. After the recent loss of the controller, accounting staff and Lead Operations Manager we were directing the company down a Chapter 11. The Capstone team mobilized immediately and took control of accounting, operations and corporate matters. During their 3 month interim tenure they were able to stabilize and downsize our operations allowing us to forestall Chapter 11 and explore other options. Their capabilities allowed us the comfort of knowing we were controlling costs and maintaining operations without risk of spiraling further into the “red”.

The Capstone Lawrence hands-on and “get it done” attitude saved us tens of thousands of potentially wasted dollars and helped coral an out of control cash to cash cycle. They assessed the Cash and P&L performance of an interim CEO and his team, built-out a 2020 segmented budget/forecast for a wine processing and distribution company and improved certain business operations around AR collections and AP/Cash management. They also took on the critical role of project lead on a new ERP system implementation running out of control. Their involvement was invaluable to the turnaround of this company.

We initially engaged Capstone Lawrence to perform certain due diligence on monthly portfolio company reporting to ensure these reports were indicative of the operations and day to day activities they were observing/encountering. Their role grew into more of a senior management oversight role in areas such as budget and forecast design and preparation, business operations optimization, financial statement review and assessment and eventually strategic advisory services around new business opportunities and renegotiating finance/forbearance agreements.

We engaged Capstone Lawrence to work with our CFO and controller’s office in making our company “acquisition ready”. We had engaged with a prospective buyer who was a well-known global CPG brand and our organization filled a niche that they were not in. The Capstone folks worked tirelessly on “cleaning up” our historical records with our auditors and created the necessary, and complex, financial models required during the acquisition phase. Their leadership, expertise and support was paramount is providing all of the data, reports and information needed/requested during this time. Our deal closed, in no small part, due to the partnership and efforts of the Capstone team.

As a newly acquired manufacturing organization, our challenge was reorganizing a dysfunctional accounting department and re-integrating a failed general ledger software system. The Capstone Lawrence team worked with our senior management in “unwinding and reintegrating” an accounts receivable system as well as properly standing up the company’s general ledger package. We were highly impressed by Capstone’s blend of technical expertise with such practical knowledge and experience.
