OUR PLAYBOOK

We run a disciplined five-stage process that builds a current-state roadmap and embeds sustainable change across underperforming areas of the portfolio company.

1. Roundtable

Establish objectives and a preliminary project plan while gathering input from PE/FO stakeholders on key matters and concerns related to the portfolio company. The session will also include a discussion of the company’s management team and a review of both the internal environment and the broader market landscape.

2. Discovery

Conduct on-site review, assessment, and diagnostics. The Turnaround & Restructuring Group works either collaboratively with, or independent of, portfolio company senior management to establish a fact-based current-state view of financial and operating results—from Top-Line to EBITDA—aligned with stakeholder concerns.

3. Alignment & Design

Translate findings into a clear Capstone Lawrence action plan to address underperformance. Align leadership around market fit, sales and marketing motions, and finance and operations priorities.

4. Execution & Enablement

Work alongside management to stabilize operations and accelerate performance. Implement targeted performance initiatives, optimize core processes, strengthen frontline management capabilities, and establish governance frameworks.

5. Institutionalization Engagement Transition

Link execution to measurable financial outcomes, embed dashboards and reporting frameworks, and transition ownership to management with durable systems and a sustainable operating rhythm.
